Western Tuscany, its climate, smells, light, landscapes. He has always been an inspiration to me, especially in the western seaside towns of Monterosso Al Mare.

abstract painting - an abstract landscape is the best form of expression for me. Nostralgic atmosphere of this town, view from the city hills, sunset, memories.

My painting often refers to landscapes in expressive forms, but this series is a separate work.

It is a 150 x 100 cm oil painting from 2021.

About me

_{Maciej Cieśla (born in 1988) – a graduate of the faculty of Painting and Sculpture of the Academy of Arts in Wrocław, under the supervision of Piotr Błażejewski. Obtained the diploma in 2013.
After graduation for two years he was searching for technical solutions and tools appropriate for his artistic expression which would allow him to realize his subjects in a true way. He was also working on identifying and solidifying subject fundaments.
His work evolved during the search for technique and finally he managed to crystalize his private, characteristic subjects and characters created in his spiritual realm. He mixes an ironic approach to evil with images of woman distanced to the male ego, as well as mythological symbols, nature forms and colors inspirations and folklore. Archetypes and primmitive art are extremely important for the artist. There are also devils, demons which themselves become tempted by the female beauty; their “evil” contrasted with the real world is naïve and human-like, posing little threat. Nature, light and form of nature serve as yet another inspiration.
For around two years he has been using a technique which is the effect of searching and working on his painting. It was born as a result of interpretation of postmodernism, neo-fauvism, abstract geometric form and symbolism. Such interpretations allow him to build his own unique style.}
